Querciolaie 1 is an independent house at the top of the drive, furthest into the woods. It can sleep six comfortably, with three bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom with shower and a WC. Note that there is a steep wooden staircase here that may not be appropriate for seniors or families with small children. As with each of the properties, there is a private outdoor area with a stone-built barbecue.

     Just above this house, there is a path that you can take into Monteverdi Marritimo—but remember to ask for the key that will get you through the gate near the city.

     Querciolaie 2 is also an independent house, accommodating up to seven guests in three bedrooms with two baths. There is a cozy kitchen/dining area with beautiful marble countertops. As with all of the others, there are thought-provoking works of art everywhere.

     Querciolaie 3 is a large apartment for up to six guests, including two bedrooms, a kitchen and one bath. If you stay in Querciolaie 3, you will never forget the experience of sleeping in the second story bedroom, at the top of the spiral staircase. This loft area has windows that overlook the sculpture garden on one side and the oak woods on the other. The curved vaulted ceiling is covered in sky-blue ceramic tiles that include a sun, moon and stars. A wise figure over the bed resembles Zeus and extends his caring arms above you as you sleep. An angel watches over everything from above the windows. This, of course, was the place we chose for ourselves.
