We enjoyed our stay there very much. The house was perfect for our group - very comfortable and well-stocked - even a chef's kitchen. My family enjoyed the pool, which had a lovely arbor beside it where we had dinner the first night. The owners are cooks and had prepared dinner for our first night, with home cured proscuitto and salame and the best lasagne verde that I have ever eaten. The owners were very gracious and Giacomo came every day to service the pool - but they were never intrusive. They lived nearby and always responded immediately when we called for something. The owners speak very little English and calling Giacomo before we arrived was a challenge. The mosquitos were bad when we were there, but that probably depends on the time of year. We ate dinner in the enclosed porch each night because of the mosquitos; however, the porch was a lovely setting. The house was located conveniently - a large grocery store nearby - and an easy drive into town to get the train. I would definitely recommend the house. N. September 2011 |
