First off, I would like to say thank you, thank you, thank you for such great service. My interaction with you and "Gira" as a whole was easy, smooth, and very helpful throughout the entire process. You provided timely and accurate information and went above and beyond with useful tips for a newbie traveler like myself. Your communication between the establishment, Sosta del Duca-Capanna di Sopra, on my behalf whenever questions popped up was instant and greatly appreciated. Secondly, as a whole the group of us (6 adults) had a wonderful time at Sosta del Duca-Capanna di Sopra! * the staff was amazing and made us feel right at home. As soon as we exited our cars in the parking lot we were greeted by Ricardo who helped us with our bags and who directed us to check-in with Simona. * Simona and Nicola were always available to answer our questions and provide suggestions for our outings (from best routes to travel to parking and where to find the best food and shopping) * The accommodations were everything we imagined and more! Whichever direction you looked, the views around the villa were spectacular Italian countryside. * The pool was a favorite relaxing spot of mine. * The dinners provided on property were amazing. The food was home cooked Italian fare and the entire experience from appetizer to dessert (and lots of delicious wine in between) was a once in a life-time experience. * Simona, Nicola, Riccardo and all their staff took pride in their property and could been seen at all times of the day working hard keeping the grounds and property up to perfection. * The atmosphere was relaxing and also entertaining with the ability to mix with those families and individuals staying in the main lodging area over dinners and time at the pool, while we could break away for privacy in our own little villa whenever we chose. * The cooking class was a fun experience that we recommend to anyone staying on the property. The property chef was so engaging and enjoyed teaching the group making it both a fun and delicious time! * The close location to San Gimignano was perfect placement for our group for an afternoon of site seeing and also great dinning options on nights we did not feel like cooking in at the villa. * The villa itself was perfect size and accommodations for the 6 adults. We enjoyed the use of the kitchen when warranted, the blast of the cool air conditioning (much needed in early Aug.), and the privacy allotted from the rest of the property. I could go on and on, but in conclusion we had a wonderful time at Sosta del Duca-Capanna di Sopra and would recommend it to everyone. August 2015 (review is for Capanna di Sopra apartment at Sosta del Duca) We had the time of our lives! I fell in love with Il Borghetto and Sandra and Nickola and Simona and Ricardo! I loved our cottage, Capanna di Sopra, it was our little piece of heaven while we were there. We did many day trips that we all thoroughly enjoyed. Our only regret was that we had not booked for two weeks instead of one. We did not aniticipate falling in love with these people and their Villa and would have cherished more time just at the Villa to take it all in. I was drawn in by the history of the Villa and the owners affection and commitment to this beautiful place. I have to say it was the owners that made the difference with their personal hands on touch of heart and soul to make this the excellent vacation it was. I can't wait to go back! L.H. July 2014 We had a FANTASTIC time. Really, I can't say enough good things about Officina and the owners of the property. It was really a highlight for us and we so enjoyed just staying in one place in Tuscany and visiting towns/cities during the day. We all felt like it was probably our favorite part of the trip. Simona, Sandra, Nicola and Riccardo could not have been more helpful and welcoming. We loved our garden & view at Officina - it was hot when we were there, but we really enjoyed breakfast out in the garden and a late night glass of wine sitting under the stars. We ate dinner there a couple of times and it was delicious and the view so beautiful. The apartment itself was so spacious and lovely - we would go back! In fact, we left feeling like we had only explored a tiny part of Tuscany (we did have a few funny experiences in the PAM and the COOP...also got really lost a couple of times). It was a life saver (from the heat) to come back after a long day of sight seeing and jump in the pool. I don't think the pictures on the web do it justice - we have some beautiful pictures of sunsets over the vineyards - D. J. June 2012 I can't begin to tell you how amazing our stay at Sosta del Duca was!!! It met and surpassed all of our expectations and we would do it over again in a heartbeat. The Bimbi family was so welcoming and accommodating and the dinners we ate on the property were the best of our vacation! Your recommendation for Officina was perfect. The accommodations were spotless and well maintained and provided us with everything we needed. The garden terrace was especially nice to have as we often enjoyed our expresso in the morning and our wine at sunset as we overlooked our spectacular surroundings. The entire vacation was everything we hoped it would be and we especially appreciate all your help in making it happen!!! Thanks for helping make our dream a reality...
