Built in 1911 by a Milanese family, Villa Concertina is a luxury
holiday residence located in Argegno on the western shore of beautiful
Lake Como between Laglio and Tremezzo. This is an ideal location on one
of the most coveted parts of the western shore. Cernobbio with its
Villa d’Este is about 20 minutes to the south and the town of Como with
its train station can be reached in less than 30 minutes. Argegno has a
ferry dock and ferries connect Argegno to Como, Bellagio and other
destinations on the lake. Easy day trips to Lugano, Switzerland and
Milan are enjoyable to do.

The setting is breathtaking. From the villa, vistas reach from Bellagio
to the northern Alps. The historic S. Sisinnio church is located right
in front of Villa Concertina. This church was represented in a Winston
Churchill watercolor, which was painted from the villa garden. The lake
shore and the center of the village are 2500 meters downhill.
Argegno is a favorite destination on Lake Como. The ancient center of
the village with its narrow walkways is very charming. There are also a
good selection of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and pubs. From
Argegno it is possible to take a cable car up to Pigra and to the
Argegno-Cima della Duaria conservation area, which is situated on a
plateau that enjoys beautiful views of the lake and of the Alps.
Villa Concertina was fully restored in 2012 with great attention given
to preserving its original details and materials. The marble and
terracotta floors, ironwork and decorations date to 1911. The mix of
modern Italian design and antique paintings and statues creates a
unique and refined atmosphere.
The expansive grounds surrounding Villa Concertina measure 3500sq
meters. They are entirely enclosed and feature a manicured garden,
lounge chairs, tables, barbecue, a salt water heated swimming pool,
shower and large patio. The grounds are also a perfect place for a
wedding reception or celebratory event.
Indoor amenities include a full home entertainment system with
satellite TV, Wi-Fi, wine storage, mini spa with chromo therapy shower
and aroma therapy tub.
There is full-time staff for cleaning, concierge and maintenance
services. Four hours of daily housekeeping are included. The villa
manager is available to assist with all guest requests, arranging
extras such as cooking, grocery shopping transport and excursions.
