Preggio is an ancient village located at an altitude of at 630 m surrounded by rich vegetation and woods, making it the perfect holiday destination for anyone who loves uncontaminated nature and the quiet of the Umbrian hills.
The old farmhouse, which has been completely renovated, is 500 m from the village which is a pleasant walk away. The village, which has preserved its medieval architecture as well as some of the old walls of Etruscan origin, has some typical restaurants and a food store.
The town of Castel Rigone, which has a supermarket and all types of services, is 5 Km away.
The rooms inside the farmhouse are spacious and well furnished with typical pieces. The kitchen is well-equipped with dishwasher, microwave, toaster, American and Italian coffee machines.
The property also has WI-FI internet connection, satellite TV, washing machine, crib/cot and high chair.
The farmhouse is surrounded by a garden with a beautiful panoramic view and, in addition to the wonderful swimming pool (6x12 m), it also has areas for relaxing and a furnished gazebo.
Next door there is another farmhouse which was renovated previously. This has 4 double bedrooms, some of which with a kitchenette. Each bedroom can be booked along with the main farmhouse for an additional unit cost up to a maximum of 18 beds.
In the event that only 10 beds are booked for La Castagna, the second farmhouse remains closed up and is not rented out to other guests.
Cortona is 30 Km. away, Perugia 28 Km, Passignano sul Trasimeno 20 Km.
