The villa was designed and furnished by the famous architect Giorgio Pes who began his career in cinema as the set designer on two masterpieces by the great director Luchino Visconti, Boccaccio ’70 and The Leopard. Pes was the decorator and interior designer of spectacular residences all over the world.
The villa is located on the outskirts of a peaceful village facing the medieval town center of Orvieto, the backdrop of which is characterized by the Duomo, one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Italy and in the world. From the villa, in the distance it is possible to enjoy extraordinary views of the little town and the surrounding countryside.
Villa la Luna is surrounded by a beautiful garden with lawns and flower beds that are as elegant as the villa. The swimming pool (8x14 m.), situated in a corner of the garden, has a Pool House with kitchenette, changing room and shower with hot water, and a loggia for eating “al fresco”.
The villa is distributed over three floors, the ground floor consists entirely of reception rooms and all the fittings and furnishings are collector’s items; on the first floor is the master bedroom with air conditioning and two spacious panoramic terraces, whereas the other three bedrooms are on the lower floor which, due to their position, do not need air conditioning, along with a small apartment reserved for the staff that runs the villa.
Given the high value of the villa’s fittings and furnishings, children aged between three and 14 are not allowed, for obvious reasons.
The villa is supplied with: dishwasher, microwave, satellite TV, DVD, CD player, central heating, fireplace, WI-FI internet connection, air conditioning in the master bedroom, independent laundry room.
On request the staff can prepare breakfast and cook for the guests - this service should be paid for on site.
The villa is 9 Km. from Orvieto, 125 from Rome, 80 from Perugia.
