Montaione, a cozy, small hamlet in Tuscany near Florence, hailing from the earliest settlements during the Etruscan and Roman age, is also famous because of its location a few kilometers only from the Sacro Monte di San Vivaldo, that is an exact reproduction, on a reduced scale, of Jerusalem of the fifteenth century, and hence also called the `Jerusalem of Tuscany`.
The area is characterized by rolling hills with extensive olive groves, green fields with cypress tree rows, and typical Mediterranean woods.
The Villa la Cappellina is about 2 km from Montaione, in a splendid panoramic location overlooking the valley and the hills. It is situated along the road down to San Miniato, and is surrounded by large, private grounds with fenced olive and cypress trees.
