This beautiful property consists of a villa and an annex which was formerly a mill. The whole complex has recently been carefully and tastefully renovated. The villa, which dates back to 1400, is an important building in terms of the architecture as well as the interior furnishings which consist of beautiful period pieces. From an architectural viewpoint the mill is a simpler structure. The interiors are also beautifully furnished with period pieces. This highly characteristic building is located alongside a small stream and has furnished outdoor areas and a gazebo. A small romantic bridge by the mill leads to a beautiful, secluded clearing with a 4 x 8 meter swimming pool. The two residences are around 10 meters apart and are separated by a tree-lined avenue and a park with hedges and vegetable gardens. Beyond the vegetable garden is a barbecue area where guests can organize outdoor meals under the shade of the ancient trees.
The property is around 25 Km from Florence and 6 Km from the Mugello valley, in a small, peaceful valley surrounded by woods and small plots of cultivated land. Both Florence and the Mugello can be easily reached by car or using the convenient local train which goes directly to the city center.
Borgo San Lorenzo, which has all kinds of shops, is 6 Km way. Around 15 Km away is Lake Bilancino which offers water sports and there is also a golf course a little further on.
Visitors can organize interesting trips and trekking excursions with varying degrees of difficulty in the surrounding hills. There are many typical “trattorias” throughout the area where it is possible to savor the traditional local cuisine.
Animals are allowed in the property but not inside the residences. However, they can be kept in a special enclosure located in the garden behind the villa. There are car parking spaces in the internal courtyard. Internet connection (not Wi-Fi).
The rental price of the Villa includes domestic help for 8 hours a day (2 people for 4 hours), from Monday to Saturday, and end-of-stay cleaning. On request, these employees can also cook typical Tuscan dishes and wait on the table, at a cost of € 20 per hour for meal preparation and € 10 per hour for table waiting.
The rental price of the Mill only includes domestic help for 2 hours per day, from Monday to Saturday, and end-of-stay cleaning.
It is possible to request extra hours of domestic help, a mid-week linen change and a chef.
