A beautiful farmhouse situated in a peaceful position on the Chianti Classico hills around 2 Km from Castello di Volpaia, a fortified village of medieval origin, where a prestigious Chianti Classico wine is made. Despite the destruction of some parts, as well as many new additions, the Castle still preserves many traces of its past as a Florentine fortification in the Chianti district, immersed within one of the most beautiful and fascinating landscapes of the region, featuring thick woods and geometrically perfect vineyards.
Villa il Lago is the ideal place for anyone who wants to enjoy a relaxing holiday in an atmosphere that fully respects the ancient traditions of Tuscany.
The farmhouse consists of two buildings situated opposite each other that together can accommodate twelve people. It has all mod cons: satellite TV, internet connection, CD/DVD player, wood-burning oven, mosquito screens on the windows, barbecue, fenced swimming pool, washing machine and dishwasher.
Outside there is a beautiful panoramic garden with an irregularly-shaped swimming pool area and a covered panoramic terrace for eating “al fresco”. On request it is possible to organize cookery courses or the serving of the typical local cuisine. The property has a tennis court to be shared with the other guests.
The village has two restaurants and it is also possible to organizes tastings of the local Chianti Classico wine. Radda in Chianti – the nearest town where all types of services can be found - is around 8Km away.

TOWER: 1 double bedroom, en suite bathroom with shower.
ANNEX: Spacious living room with fireplace; 2 twin bedrooms each with en suite bathroom and shower.
Other services included in the price: Cleaning during the week 4 hours, 5 times per week for a total of 20 hours per week.
Bed and bath linen: One set of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
Cots for babies under 2 yrs: Cot with bars available: free of charge.
