Torre di Montioni goes back to the 12th century, with the external stairway and the loggia being added later, and until the end of the 1800s it was used as a summer country residence. The current owner renovated the whole building a few years ago, bringing the original architectural features back to light, and lives in the separate farmhouse with his family. The two apartments in the tower have been given over to holiday lets. The choice of furniture was guided by the desire to find very good quality antiques that would merge with old ambience, and the two apartments are both very well finished and comfortable. They are equipped with dishwasher, stereo with CD player, WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS and many other accessories. Both have private external areas with table and chairs for dining outside. The panorama is typical of the florentine hills, with olive groves and vineyards alternating with broad-leaved woods. 2.5 kms away at Rosano, you will find food shops, a restaurant and riding stables; Pontassieve is about 5 kms away and has all the main services you might need, including a public swimming-pool and the railway station which is just minutes from the centre of Florence, so you can avoid the problem of finding a parking space. Florence is about 18 kms away and the motorway about 15 kms. The lady owner will cook typical tuscan cuisine for your delight at a convenient price, she is also able to organise cooking classes.

GROUND FLOOR (on more than one level): entrance hall, antechamber and bathroom with washing machine and bathtub; 1 double bedroom; two steps lead down to a spacious living room featuring an authentic olive press millstone that probably dates back to the late Middle Ages and a large working fireplace; the living room leads onto a small kitchenette with refrigerator, four burner cooker, fan-assisted oven and dishwasher.
The apartment shares all the communal areas and the garden with the other two apartments.
