The estate “Pettineo” is located in Pettineo. Pettineo is a little agricultural centre in the province of Messina. On the middle of the island, it is a perfect place to visit both West and East part of Sicily. Pettineo in fact is just 40 km from Cefalù with its wonderful Dom, 95 km from Palermo and 165 from Messina. Pettineo rises along the coast on a hilly. Over the centuries the town was ruled by several feudatories and members of the aristocratic class such as “I Ventimiglia” in the XIII and XV century and “I Valguarnera”. The most beautiful and important places to visit are : the Cathedral Church where it is kept a marble triptych attributed to Gagini and the ruins of a castle and Capuchin convent of the second half of the XV century. Pettineo is also part of the art itinerary “La Fiumara”. La Fiumara is an open air museum where several contemporary artists both Italians and foreigners have created modern sculptures. The aim of this project is to create a symbiosis between art and nature. This itinerary, ideated by Antonio Presti, develops along the coast and inside the Natural Reserves of Mountains Nebrodi and Madonie. The nearest beach of Castel di Tusa is just 6.5 km from the villa, just 10 min by car. Another important town near Pettineo is Santo Stefano di Camastra known for the production of ceramics. The house is surrounded by a porch and large external spaces. The estate “Pettineo” is also surrounded by a large piece of land cultivated with olive trees, fruit trees such as lemon and orange trees. The products of the land can be picked and eaten by the guests. In front of the house it is located the swimming pool with the solarium area and a covered gazebo. This space is equipped with external furniture to make the stay more comfortable. Near the swimming pool there is an external bathroom with shower and a kitchen equipped with all the necessary and with wood stove and BBQ.
The property is structured on 2 floors. You may access from a spacious and bright living room with swimming pool view. This room is characterized by the fireplace and sofas where you can rest in total comfort . From here through an internal staircase it is possible to reach the first floor. The valuable furnishings remind the old times. Most of them in fact are antiques. In all the rooms it is possible to feel the good taste and the care of the owner who took care of the house, with attention to the smallest details. The sleeping area is made up of 4 bedrooms, two double bedrooms with en-suite shower on the first floor, one twin and one double on the ground floor where we can find also a further bathroom with tub. On the ground floor there is also a spacious and bright kitchen.
