Take a short, lakeside stroll from Como's central piazza and you arrive
at Villa Comtesse, a unique historic villa with a beautiful story to
tell. Built in 1772, its three year renovation was completed in
2009, bringing back once again the artful splendor of its time in
centuries past.

One of the famed "Seven Sisters of Como", this villa is filled with
lovely frescoes by acclaimed artists including Andrea Appiani, Italy's
most famous neo-classical artist. It is the setting of a novel
written in 1856 by French author Nathalie Comtesse.

- New hardwood floors in the activity room off the main atrium and in
the yoga studio
- New professional cardio equipment in the gym
While preserving the historical character of the villa, the owner has
also added modern amenities including a swimming pool, air
conditioning, elevator, full gym, yoga studio, high speed Internet and
much more. The villa staff lives in a separate residence.
Villa Comtesse offers an experience of opulence and convenient

center, or boat from the villa's easy access to Lake Como and indulge

Ground floor
The villa's grand foyer features a stunning twenty foot high frescoed
ceiling with a dazzling marble staircase. On this floor there are
three rooms--one fitness room, one yoga/game room and one reading room.
Second level - sleeps

Here you will find the 700 square foot main salon with original
frescoes and mosaic floor, two casual dining rooms, a formal dining
room, a well-equipped kitchen, toilet, and a guest bedroom (twin or
double) and full
bathroom with shower.
Third level - sleeps
10 people
This level includes the Master Suite (1100 sq ft) with king size bed
with bathroom (shower and bathtub),
the Yellow Suite with king size bed and bathroom (bathtub) and one sofa
bed, the White Suite with double bed with bathroom (shower) and one
extra single bed, the Beige Suite (800 sq ft) with double bed and
bathroom (shower) and the Green Bedroom with double bed (shared
bathroom with shower). Full laundry (washer and dryer).
Fourth level mansard

This floor has been completely remodeled in 2017. There are now
two beautiful suites with double bed (queen size) with en suite
bathrooms with shower and gorgeous new hardwood floors. In each
suite there is a sofabed.
PLEASE NOTE THAT: all the extra beds / sofa beds are available only
upon request and at extra charge. Price to be reconfirmed with the
owner.
Private outdoor garden
The lakeside garden (70 yards x 20 yards) is a elegant location for
outdoor dining and relaxing by the pool (15 yards x 5 yards). The
pool can be heated upon request for an extra charge. The
back gate of the garden opens onto the famous "Passeggiata Villa Olmo",
the beautiful walkway that goes along the lake. The entire garden
is enclosed by stone walls and tall hedges for maximum privacy.
Boathouse
The boathouse for Villa Comtesse is located only 5 steps down from the
backyard.
Il Rustico
On the same property, but with a private entrance/courtyard from a
different street than the villa, the rustic apartment known as Il
Rustico is available for weekly rental. It sleeps up to 6 guests.
140 sq. mts (1500 sq. feet) 3 bedrooms (2 double and one with a French
bed and a single bed), 2 bathrooms one with shower and one with
bathtub, full kitchen and living room.
Complete renovation finished 2008. Rustic style, exposed roof timbers,
stonework, antique floors, fully air conditioned, hi-speed internet
Wi-Fi, washing machine and dryer. 70 meters from lake's edge.
Il Rustico can be rented separately or used by the owners, but being a
detached building with independent entrance, it does not affect the
privacy of the main villa. Guests of Il Rustico or owners have no
access to the garden or the pool unless the whole property is rented by
the same group.
When rented together with Villa Comtesse, the property can accommodate
up to 23 guests.
