Villa Torrigiani is undoubtedly one of the most famous of the Lucca villas, elegant residences situated in the hilly area surrounding the plains on which the town lies, which were built between the XV and XVIII century as country homes for its wealthy families. Built in 1500 about 2.5 km from the village of Camigliano, just 15 kilometers from Lucca and extended in 1600, the villa is one of the best examples of Tuscan baroque architecture and has a charming garden – park which is famous for its grottos and water features, some of the most remarkable examples to be found in Italy. Casale Torrigiani is part of this spectacular historical property and has the same owners. It is reached by following a lane behind the villa for approximately 1 kilometer. The original structure dates back to around 1650 and it is one of the property’s oldest farmhouses. It was renovated in the early 20th century when it was home to the farm workers who tended the splendid olive-groves filled with centuries-old plants which still produce an excellent olive oil that can be purchased on the farm. In recent years, the Casale has been transformed into a holiday home, whilst managing to preserve as much of the original structure as possible: rustic and comfortable, it has a large unfenced garden that includes an area with facilities for outdoor eating. There is also a beautiful panoramic 6 x 12 meter swimming pool, located just 50 meters from the house in the middle of the large olive-grove, with stunning views of the plain. The owners offer guests staying at the Casale the chance to enjoy a guided tour of the Villa and its gardens.

To the left of the entrance hall there is a staircase leading to the FIRST FLOOR: on the left, 1 double bedroom with en suite bathroom with bathtub (with another access door from the box room); on the right, 1 small bedroom with single sofa bed and a second truckle bed, 1 double bedroom, 1 bathroom with shower, 1 bedroom with French-style bed; from the staircase: box room with wardrobe/closet and writing desk, 1 service bathroom with washing machine and open shower.
Bed and bath linen: One set of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
