Il Cipresso is approximately 10 minutes away from Florence by car, and lies to the south-east of the city where the hills leading to the Chianti district begin. It is situated within a 17 hectare estate that includes a large farmhouse built in the 1700s (originally part of a local monastery), where the owner lives with her family and this beautiful residence located in a recently renovated barn. One part of the barn is still used as a cellar and winery where a small amount of wine and olive oil – obtained from the estate`s 5 hectares of vineyards and olive-groves - is produced for the personal consumption of the owners. The indoor areas are very comfortable and tastefully furnished. Outside there is a private lawn with a table, sun umbrella and armchairs for relaxing and eating “al fresco”.
Guests can use the scenic 6 x 14 meter swimming pool – which is shared with the owners – that overlooks the valley at the bottom of which flows a stretch of highway that depending on the wind direction you might hear.
The convenient and central position of this property (there is a bus stop just 500 meters away where buses to Florence stop every 15 minutes), make it ideal for exploring the city and its museums, as well as the many natural and artistic beauties of the Chianti district, Siena and the rest of Tuscany.

GROUND FLOOR: Entrance through the garden via a small stairway: living room with fireplace and TV, to the right, a kitchen with large full-length window facing onto the back of the property (dishwasher, oven, microwave) and dining table; 1 bathroom with toilet, marble washbasin and washing machine. A convenient wooden staircase in the living room leads up to the FIRST FLOOR: box room, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom (both bedrooms have large French windows onto the garden with the typical “honeycomb” structure characteristic of Italian barns), 1 bathroom with shower. Outdoor area furnished with table and sun umbrella, armchairs and small table in the shade of an olive tree and small table with chairs. Air conditioning in the bedrooms and living room.
Other services included in the price: Electrical consumption included up to 100 Kw per week. Fire wood. Internet connection via USB dongle available on request.
Paid on site in cash: Electrical consumption in excess of 100Kw per week. Cleaning service on request at a cost of € 12 per hour. Supper (Tuscan cuisine): € 30 per person (including wine).
Bed and bath linen: One set of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
Cots for babies under 2 yrs: Cot with bars available: free of charge.
