Il Palagio is situated on the banks of the river Arno, just a short distance away from Florence, on the road that runs along the river towards Pontassieve. This beautiful and ancient building dates back to the year 1200 and originally consisted of a tower guarding a mill and a fortified courtyard. Recently restored and perfectly renovated, the house has been divided into 4 residential units, one of which is used by the owners during the summer months. The guest apartments are located on a side wing of the building and there is also a large, well-tended outdoor area divided into private gardens with amenities for each apartment. There is a shaded car park inside the property. Barbecue and ping pong. The beautiful swimming pool (12 X 20 meters) is available to guests and also occasionally used by the owners.
Just 200 meters from the property is a riding school where it is possible to book riding lessons or excursions on horseback.
There are food shops in Pontassieve, which is just 3 km away. Florence is a 10 minute drive away. To avoid parking problems, it is also possible to take a direct train from Pontassieve to Florence.

FIRST FLOOR: living/dining room with double sofa bed and satellite TV, kitchen with oven and dishwasher, 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, 2 bathrooms with shower, one of which has a washing machine.
Paid on site in cash: Extra cleaning service at a cost of € 10 per hour. Midweek linen change.
Internet wi-fi to be paid on the spot (€ 10 per week).
Palagio 2 the sofa bed for 1 or 2 people at an extra cost of 50 € per week.
Bed and bath linen: One set of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
Cots for babies under 2 yrs: Cot with bars available: free of charge.
