Mafalda is a beautiful villa that was built by a German prince, and his
nephew is now the owner. The views from the gardens and terraces
extend far across the Bay of Naples, with the town of Anacapri and the
famous Blue Grotto very close by. Anacapri is just five minutes
away and the main town of Capri and the harbor can be reached in
fifteen minutes.
From Capri, it is possible to take day trips and excursions by
hydrofoil to the islands of Ischia and Procida, and to easily reach
mainland destinations like Sorrento, Pompeii, Naples and Positano.
Ground floor
The recent and complete renovation of the property has preserved the
authentic architecture of this beautiful home. Each piece has
been carefully chosen to create a harmonious blend between classic good
taste and comforts. Beautiful paintings and prints adorn the
walls, filling each room with warmth, character and distinction.
The comfortable living room with beautifully upholstered sofa and
armchairs, antiques and decorative fireplace opens directly to the
patio and the garden.
To one side of the living room is the Blue Bedroom, an air conditioned
double bedroom opening to the garden, with en suite bathroom with
shower. On request, this bedroom can be fitted as a twin bedded
room.
Also on the ground level is the Yellow Bedroom, an air conditioned
double bedroom with separate private bathroom with tub. On
request, this bedroom can be fitted as a twin bedded room.
Finally, on the ground level is the Twin Bedroom, with en suite
bathroom with shower. This bedroom is not air conditioned as it
is located in the coolest part of the villa with north facing
window. In this room, the twin beds cannot be joined.
The formal dining room has a table for ten guests and double doors
leading to the pool. The fully equipped kitchen includes a
four-burner gas stove, oven, microwave, coffee machine, fridge, freezer
and dishwasher. There is also a laundry room with washing machine
on this level.
Note: Behind the kitchen there is a small bedroom with single bed
and en suite bathroom with a tub. This bedroom is available only
on request and is suitable for a nanny or teenager. Please
inquire.
First floor
The ground floor and first floor are served by an elegantly rounded
stairway.
On the first floor, there is an air-conditioned double bedroom with sea
view and access to the panoramic terrace, and a separate bathroom with
tub.
Also on this level is an air conditioned sitting room with flat screen
satellite TV with DVD player, fireplace, large windows overlooking the
sea and terrace solarium.
Exteriors
Outside, there are 1000 square meters of private gardens and multiple
terraces with a stunning sea view and tasteful outdoor furniture.
The swimming pool is a circular shape, 6 meters in diameter and 1.80
meters in depth. The poolside patio includes sun umbrellas and an
outdoor dining area. In the garden area is a pergola and sitting
area with sea view, and an additional al fresco dining terrace.
There is parking for two cars inside the property and the bus stop for
Blue Grotto (5 min) and Anacapri (5 min) is just in front of the gate.
