The neighbouring village of Magognino is a small centre that becomes populated in the summer, and food shops can be found there, but nearby Stresa certainly offers more choice. Boats also leave from here for the Borromean Islands, where you can visit the magnificent gardens and sumptuous palaces. Of particular interest is the local food and wine and the typical products, cheeses and wines. Milan is about 90 km away, Novara 80.
