The house is on three levels - first floor, ground floor and lower floor. On the level of the ground floor there are two courtyards at the sides, on the level of semi-interred basement there is a portico and the large garden in which there is an additional shed that can be used as a garage. The house can be entered from all levels. The old town of Castagnole, with its old town center, is at the summit of a hill, and gradually through time the town has extended down to the foot of the hill where the modern part of the town now lies. Casa Saltini is in the old town center, in the highest part of the town, close to the Town Hall and a hundred meters from the main piazza, which can be reached in two minutes on foot (down a steep road made of old cobblestones) and where there are several shops including a food shop and chemist. At the base of the hill (it takes 5-10 minutes on foot) is the the new part of town with a lot more shops, banks and so on. The town is in the Alto Monferrato hills, on the edge of the Langhe, a territory where some of the most famous Italian wines were created including Barolo, Barbera and Asti Spumante. There are also very high-quality gastronomic products such as the famous white truffles of Alba and renowned cheeses. The Piedmont cuisine is full of rich tastes and of history, and the rich variety of the Piedmont area and consequently of its climate has produced several different gastronomic traditions in the various different geographical areas. Castagnole is just 20 km from Asti, of which 15 are on the dual carriageway. Torino is about 80 km away and the Ligurian coast about 90 km.

LOWER FLOOR: entrance, a large kitchen with dishwasher, oven and a large fireplace, dining room with a table seating 12 people, and from the kitchen there is direct access to the portico, an ideal place for summer dining.
GROUND FLOOR: (an apartment which you access from the courtyards on each side, and is the central apartment, with the main entrance in the courtyard, which in turn accesses the street) entrance, living-room with fireplace, functioning piano, stereo with turntable and CD player, WC with washbasin, library, small living-room, studio, 1 large double bedroom with large bathroom with bathtub (from the room and from the studio you have access to the side courtyard and from there also to the billiard room).
FIRST FLOOR: 1 double bedroom, living-room with fireplace, bathroom with bathtub (from here you have access to the billiard room on the Ground Floor, which can also be reached from the courtyard).
FIRST FLOOR (main part): entrance, studio, living-room with fireplace, piano, TV (no satellite), videocassette-recorder and DVD player, kitchen equipped with gas oven, microwave oven and dishwasher, 2 twin bedrooms (beds can be joined), one bedroom with a small double bed, 1 bathroom with shower, 1 bathroom with bathtub and shower, 1 WC with washbasin.
