Volpaia is a small enchanting village perched on the top of a hill with a 360° view of the Chianti slopes: built in the 11th century as a fortified hamlet on the divide of two small valleys, a land lying on the border between Florence and Siena. This unique village preserves the ancient charm of a medieval hamlet, with a labyrinth of narrow paved alleys passing under the arches, by palaces and a small renaissance church. Town life revolves around the famous Farm of Volpaia, with its centre inside the castle; throughout its history, the hamlet has always been connected to the production of Chianti wine and olive oil and still today, the castle is the centre of a complex rural farm, which the locals are strictly connected to. In the village there are 2 excellent restaurants and a fantastic bar for drinks and snacks, a meeting place for all the locals. The apartment that we offer is located right in the heart of the village, with access from a typical small street; it has been tastefully renovated with great care, very elegantly furnished and offers all the comforts. In the back there is a beautiful garden full of flowers with a covered loggia for outdoor dining and an old wood-burning oven, with a panorama that stretches over the surrounding hills. A warm, cosy and familiar environment, thanks to the care that has been given to every last detail and its privileged location, inside one of the hamlets has best preserved its structure and ancient flavour, will offer you an unforgettable experience.

GROUND FLOOR: entrance, arch on the left that leads to the spacious kitchen (oven, dishwasher, microwave) with fireplace, on the right is a large lounge with a dining area and a living-room area with ancient fireplace, 1 single bedroom, 1 WC with washbasin. FIRST FLOOR: 1 twin bedroom, 1 double bedroom, 1 large bathroom with shower/bathtub. Equipped garden with covered loggia for eating outdoors, laundry room and pizza oven (with access from the first ramp of stairs in the entrance and from the gate).
Paid on site in cash: Any extras (cleaning hours, dinner preparation service, babysitting).
Bed and bath linen: One set of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
Cots for babies under 2 yrs: Cot with bars available: free of charge.
