The villa dates back to the 17th century and was built in one of the most panoramic and charming towns on the Sorrento peninsula, an ideal location that offers the best spectacular perspective of the island of Capri. It has become part of history for being the house of Gioacchino Murat, the King of Naples, who led the famous battle to conquer the island of Capri from the terrace. A writing on the façade of the villa commemorates the event. The villa, which is a national monument, has become an exclusive holiday residence, allowing its guests to relive the emotions of the past and enjoy first-hand the beauty of the surrounding nature and landscape. The architectural structure and part of the furnishings have remained unchanged, only a few elements have been changed to offer a higher level of comfort and to suit present-day needs. Villa del Re has two floors. On the ground floor you will find elegant lounges with sofas, armchairs and antique furniture, while the first floor represents the heart of the villa, with its large terraces that offer enchanting views of the gulf of Naples in every corner. The views from the windows are all different from one another and look like precious 18th century paintings, while at night the gulf of Naples lights up like a Christmas crib. The kitchen, built with typical 19th-century painted tiles, is equipped with all the modern comforts. While the gardens and terraces offer various corners where you can enjoy nature and the landscape. The outdoor lounge areas and the private swimming pool located on one side of the garden, offer you unforgettable relaxing moments. The villa has Internet connection, telephone, fax, washing machine and dishwasher. The personnel live in an independent apartment located on the ground floor. Massa Lubrense is 3 km away, Sorrento 10, Marina del Cantone is the nearest beach and is located only 5 km away.

FIRST FLOOR: hall, corridor that has access to the garden furnished with sofas and wrought-iron armchairs, 1 single bedroom and 1 twin bedroom, both with access to the loggia that leads to the large panoramic terrace with sea view and equipped for outdoor dining, 1 twin bedroom, 1 double bedroom, 2 bathrooms with bathtub, dining area, characteristic kitchen equipped with oven, fridge, dishwasher.

Other services included in the price: Cleaning during the week 6 hours, 6 times per week for a total of 36 hours per week. Towels for the swimming pool, changed weekly. Bathroom linen, changed daily. Buffet breakfast from 8.00 – 11.00 a.m. Wi-fi internet on the ground floor. Welcome drink.
During low season: full day excursion in minivan.
During mid season: beach service up to 10 people.
