Il Romito is situated in one of the most attractive districts of the Sienese Chianti Classico area, just 15 km from Siena and 11 km from Castelnuovo Berardenga. It is reached from the little village of Pianella, following a picturesque country road that unwinds between vineyards and olive groves, and it commands a magnificent view over the beautiful surrounding countryside. Il Romito is a typical farmhouse, entirely renovated and fully equipped with satellite TV, stereo with CD player, dishwasher, washing machine, central heating, barbecue and microwave oven. Entering from a typical stone loggia, the interior extends over two floors furnished with impeccable taste using antique and traditional Tuscan pieces. In the garden guests have at their exclusive disposal a fine swimming pool and a fully-furnished outdoor area. All essential services can be found in the nearby village of Pianella (4 km), while close by guests can find excellent restaurants offering Tuscan cuisine and numerous vineyards where they can taste and purchase the famous Chianti wines. The stretch of road between Gaiole in Chianti and Siena (25 km away), which also passes through Pianella, is particularly attractive, dotted with intriguing castles that can be visited and little hamlets that have remained unchanged down the centuries.
Accommodation (270 sq meters):
GROUND FLOOR: access from a loggia provided with table and chairs, kitchen with dining area and exit onto the back garden, which is again equipped for dining in the open air. Large sitting room with corridor leading to the sleeping area in the centre: dining room on the right, and sofas and armchairs to the left. 1 twin bedroom with bathroom with shower, 1 twin bedroom with bathroom with bathtub and shower attachment, 2 large double bedrooms with bathroom complete with bathtub and shower attachment and access to a spacious panoramic terrace.
LOWER FLOOR: spacious suite consisting of hall with fireplace, lounge area and sleeping area furnished with double bed and small bathroom with shower (of a simpler style than those on the upper floor).
Paid on site in cash: Cook at cost of 35 €/person (minimum 5 persons) including shopping. Mid-week cleaning 12 €/hour.
Electricity included up to 200 kw.
Bed and bath linen: One set of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
Cots for babies under 2 yrs: Cot with bars available: free of charge.
