Villa Marechiaro lies framed by the beautiful hill at Posillipo, in one of the loveliest and most sought-after areas in the city of Naples. The luxurious hidden villas, the paths down to the sea, the cliffs dropping sheer down into the water below, the elegant buildings, and the breathtaking view all make it a must for sightseers, and a dream for the inhabitants of the city. Posillipo is undoubtedly the best-known hill in Naples and the most famous for its beauty; its ancient name alone explains all of its charm: Pausilypon means `rest from your worries`. The villa, from the beginning of the last century, has maintained most of the furnishings and old decorations, and has integrated them well with all the comforts of modern technology. All of the rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, TV with DVD player, safe deposit-box, telephone, small stereo in the bathroom, and the living areas have Hi-Fi, plasma TV with DVD player and Sky satellite, ADSL internet connection. The large garden is completely enclosed and looks onto the Gulf of Naples, and consists of the swimming-pool area with sunbathing terrace, two large panoramic terraces with garden furniture and various relaxation areas. The domestics are always present in the villa and besides the daily cleaning of the villa, also see to the preparation of breakfast, lunch and dinner, with various different menus to be chosen on the premises. Personal use of the kitchen by guests is not possible. You may, at an extra charge, have the use of a car with driver, laundry service, transfer from the airport, and of a sailing boat or motor boat. There is a fenced parking area within the villa.
Accommodation (330 sq meters):
GROUND FLOOR: at garden level, reception area consisting of large salon with fireplace with access to the furnished terrace on the same level and to the garden, a second small living-room, a winter garden, the dining-room, a studio (with fax, printer, photocopier, computer), 1 WC.
FIRST FLOOR: sleeping area ideally divided into two large suites, the blue area has two communicating twin bedrooms with a shared bathroom equipped with a hydromassage bath; the red area has a double bedroom with en suite bathroom and a twin bedroom with bathroom with shower.
ANNEX: large bedroom/living-room looking onto the garden, 1 large en-suite bathroom and a terrace on top with sunbathing area. In the basement area of the villa is the domestic area consisting of the kitchen with goods lift which communicates with all the floor levels, laundry, larder, wine-cellar, apartment for the resident personnel who speak english, as well as a single bedroom with bathroom for a private domestic.
RELAXATION AREA: Finnish sauna for two people, dressing-room and shower, exercise room with Tecnogym with video and audio system, solar lamp.
Paid on site in cash: Cost per person per day: preparation of breakfast: Continental Breakfast Euro 10 - Lunch or dinner from à la carte menu, with costs per person depending on the menu. You can pay for these services with a credit card. The use of the kitchen is allowed only for the domestic staff of the villa.
Bed and bath linen: 2 sets of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
