This welcoming and original apartment is completely independent, and located in what were once the monks cells of a monastery dating back to the 1000s. The building later became the bishop of Siena`s country residence, and most recently has been skillfully renovated and trasformed into a beautiful, imposing residence. The lovely original Romanesque church and tower (the bell tower, which later became a watchtower during the war between the republics of Siena and Florence) still remain. The property owners live in the central part of the structure. The pleasant, tranquil location is in the heart of the Chianti Classico region among olive groves and vineyards (350 m above sea level), on a large farm that produces esteemed olive oil and wine. The property enjoys a beautiful view of the countryside and offers a lovely well-equipped, well-maintained enclosed garden with swimming pool. The furnishing is comfortable, with period furniture. A property with particular charm.
