Stay close to Florence and still enjoy the atmosphere of
the Tuscany countryside! The Settignano Suites offer three elegantly
furnished houses within walking distance of a small and picturesque village.
Located in a small borgo with spectacular views,
each is carefully renovated and beautifully appointed. Florence is only six
kilometers away, and can be reach in fifteen minutes by a convenient bus stop.
There are 1.5 hectares (3.7 acres) of grounds that are surrounded by olive and
fruit trees with a beautiful view of Florence.
The units (Suite
1,
Suite 2 and
Suite 3) can accommodate 2, 4 and 6 guests, and together
can be rented for a group up to 12 guests. If rented together (Settignano
Suites - All), they provide a
comfortable and hospitable experience of Tuscany.
The houses are classically Tuscan and in the past were used
to store young lemon trees during the winter and olives during the fall
harvest. They are now converted into the most comfortable country homes, where
you can find a perfect balance between modern and traditional furnishings. Each
unit offers a tasteful and private outdoor space for relaxation and al fresco
dining.
Settignano was the home of three of the most famous
sculptors of the Renaissance – Desiderio da Settignano, Bernardo and Antonio
Rossellino. As a young man, Michelangelo lived here, in a farmhouse that is now
called Villa Michelangelo.
The owner, a famous interior designer, lives in a house on
the property. She speaks fluent English and French and is happy to assist the
guests during their stay. She has a very well behaved and peaceful dog, who
also lives on the property.
The estate is well landscaped with flowers, herbs and
vegetables, lovingly tended by a gardener. Settignano Suites is a non-smoking
property. Children under eight years of old are not permitted, and pets are not
accepted.
Included in the price are daily maid service Monday through
Saturday (Unit 2 and 3 only), air conditioning, heating, final cleaning,
Internet ADSL connection, standard first dinner and basic grocery shopping for
arrival. Bath linen is changed on Tuesday and Saturday, bed linen on
Saturday. A cell phone is available with a prepaid card. An extra bed is not
available.
Upon request for an additional charge: Extra maid service, laundry service
and cook service.
Accommodation – Suite 1 (48 sq meters)
This suite sleeps two guests and is located in the same building as the owner’s
residence, with a private entrance. Its private outdoor space is in front of
Suite 2, about fifteen meters away.
Ground floor: An entrance into the living room with
fireplace. There is a kitchenette with a view of the garden.
Lower level: Access via fourteen steps from the ground floor. One bedroom with
double bed (180cm x 200cm) with French doors opening onto a courtyard with a
view over Florence. Please note that the courtyard is for the owner’s use and
the private area for Suite 1 is accessed from the ground floor. There is also
walk-in closet and en suite bathroom with shower on this level.
Suite 1 is not suitable for guests with walking difficulties.

private outdoor area, fireplace and mobile phone with rechargeable card.
Accommodation – Suite 2 (80 sq meters)
This house is accessed from the two French doors into the sitting room and
kitchen area. It is equipped with air conditioning, and solar panels to
provide hot water.
Ground floor: Large living room with TV and
fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen and dining area. A small laundry
with washing machine and storage.
Magnolia suite: Double bed (200cm x 200cm) that may be converted to twins,
walk-in closet and en suite bathroom with bathtub and shower head.
Green bedroom: Double bed (180cm x 200cm), wardrobe, en suite bathroom
with large rain-shower.
Amenities include central heating, air conditioning, satellite TV,
refrigerator, wireless high speed Internet access, washing machine, dishwasher,
private outdoor area, fireplace and mobile phone with rechargeable card.
Accommodation – Suite 3 (140 sq meters)
This house is accessed from the French doors located on both the ground
level and first floor. It is equipped with air conditioning, and solar
panels to provide hot water.
First floor: Large living room with TV and
fireplace. Fully equipped kitchen and dining area overlooking a
comfortable outside area suitable for al fresco dining.
Flower suite: Four poster bed (170cm x 200cm), Florence view, fireplace,
walk-in closet and en suite bathroom with tub and separate shower.
Ground floor: Down the fourteen steps and off the attractive jardin
d'hiver there are two other suites:
Black and White Suite: Double/twin bed (180cm x 200cm), en suite bathroom
with large shower and bath tub, walk-in closet.
Wisteria Suite: Double/twin bed (170cm x 200cm), safe box, en suite
bathroom with large shower, walk-in closet.
Also on the ground level is a small laundry with washing machine and dryer.

refrigerator, wireless high speed Internet access, washing machine, dishwasher,
private outdoor area, fireplace, safe box and mobile phone with rechargeable card.
