This nice country house lies in an attractive valley close to the medieval village of Monteriggioni which is 5 kms away. From the house a visit to Siena is within easy reach (15 kms), taking about 15 minutes by car, and so is the whole Chianti Classico area along with its towns such as Greve in Chianti, Radda and San Gimignano. The house has recently been renovated and furnished with care and taste and is well equipped: satellite-TV, stereo with CD player, washing machine and dishwasher. Guests have the use of a pleasant loggia furnished with a table and chairs, a well-tended garden surrounding the house and the 5x10m swimming-pool. The view of Monteriggioni is wonderful, looking at it from a distance you get the impression that time has stood still and you get the same feeling inside the walls as well. The medieval festival `Monteriggioni di torri si corona` takes place very year during the month of July. The festival recalls the history of Monteriggioni and the cultural traditions from the old days. Within the village walls you will find typical restaurants offering tuscan cuisine, and some small shops. There are many possible trips through the Chianti hills where you can visit old villages and castles, and the many vineyards that produce one of the most famous wines in the world, Chianti Classico.
