Borgo San Jacopo lies between the Ponte Vecchio and the bridge called Ponte a Santa Trinità and there are documents going back to the XIIth century that mention it. It is one of the most attractive streets in the old city centre, with typical local shops and some of the most famous restaurants in the city. The apartment is in the old palazzo on the corner with via Maggio, the street known for its antique shops and for the bridge Ponte a Santa Trinità, which has been described as the most beautiful bridge in the world, and this part of the city has preserved intact its medieval structure. Lo Sprone`s main characteristic is its antiques, with furniture, paintings and other objects which will be admired by antique lovers, and is a romantic hideaway for lovers. The terrace, which looks onto the crossroads leading towards Ponte a Santa Trinità where there is a famous fountain by Buontalenti, ends with a beautiful cloister with windows offering several different angles on the panorama, and the interior is equipped with a central table with chairs, all in all a unique spot, with nothing else like it in the city. On foot you can reach in just a few minutes some of the most important museums in the world, and many of the places where the history of the renaissance started. Nearby there are several private garages where you can park your car, although we advise you to come to the city by public transport.
