This old rural complex goes back to the 1500s , and consists of the villa, where the owners live, and the farm next to it. Thanks to a careful renovation, four apartments have been made on the farm, and an independent house in what was once an olive press. All of the apartments have been furnished with taste using period furniture, and all have satellite-TV. Monsagrati, which can boast among its past guests the great Giacomo Puccini, who stayed here in 1898 and actually composed Tosca here, has always been the ideal place for a relaxing stay. Guests have the use of large and well-cared for, furnished, outside areas, where they have also made a large 9x25m swimming-pool. The property lies in a beautiful spot in the green hills that separate Lucca from the tyrrhenean coast and the beaches of Versilia, which are just 15 kms away. An internet connection is available in the reception. Domestic pets are not allowed in the swimming-pool area. Included in the price is cleaning of the apartments during the week on Wednesday afternoon, as well as a laundry service on Wednesday morning. On request further bed- and bath-linen changes may be hired, and there are two cots available.
For apartments 1, 2 and 3 there is a shared washing machine, apartment 5 has a private washing machine. Apt 5: dishwasher and microwave, storage room with washing machine.
2 kms away is San Martino in Freddana where there are food shops, Lucca is 12 kms away, and 20 kms away are the beaches at Versilia. Carrara and the Apuan Alps are 30 kms away.
