The area called La Valtiberina, on the eastern edge of Tuscany, is an attractive hilly landscape with woods of chestnut trees and fields for pasture, and offers, due its combination of art, history and nature, an image of a Tuscany still barely touched by mass tourism, yet full of medieval and renaissance art treasures. In this area were born two of the greatest Italian renaissance artists: Piero della Francesca and Michelangelo. Just 5 km from the village Caprese Michelangelo, where the artist who created the frescoes in the Sistine Chapel was born, lies La Radicata, surrounded by private, terraced grounds, with a marvelous panorama of the lake at Montedoglio and of the hills around it, offering absolute privacy and peace and quiet. This attractive stone farmhouse has been renovated to perfection, furnished comfortably and with taste, with ample external areas furnished for relaxing and dining outside, with a marvelous view: there`s a courtyard, a pergola with BBQ area and wood-burning oven for bread and pizza, a terrace and, on the highest level, a nice furnished and fenced swimming-pool (12x5 m). This is an ideal place for a holiday in natural surroundings, for walking, bike-rides, or trips to the art towns, in an atmosphere of total relaxation. The last kilometer before arriving at the house is along a narrow, cement road uphill.
The owners occasionally use the small barn adjoining the house with separate entrance. On request: massage, yoga classes and cooking classes. Upon arrival a welcome dinner included in the price.

GROUND FLOOR: well equipped kitchen (dishwasher, fridge-freezer, 6 burner cooktop, microwave, coffe-maker, hand food mixer, washing machine) with access onto the kitchen courtyard, dining room with a small sitting area and with access to the pergola and area with external bread oven and BBQ, 1 double bedroom (Giardino) with large en-suite bathroom with semicircular tub.
FIRST FLOOR: living room (accessed by both internal and external staircases) with fireplace and TV, 1 double bedroom (Terrazza) with door opens onto private terrace and direct access to the gardens and the pool and en-suite bathroom with sunken tub and shower, 2 little twin bedrooms (Gemelli), 1 bathroom with tub.
TOWER: 1 large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom and large shower.
Paid on site in cash: On request: cleaning service during the week: 12 Euro per hour; extra change of bed linen during the week: Euro 6 per person and change; extra change of bath linen during the week: Euro 5 per person and change.
Bed and bath linen: One set of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
Cots for babies under 2 yrs: Cot with bars available: free of charge.
