Barchessa is a villa in Veneto built in the 1500s by the powerful noble and venetian military family of Marcello. Surrounded by countryside in the area between Treviso, Padova and Venice, it still contains the echo of its magnificence, radiant and alive, along with its noble origins. The villa has been well-preserved with intelligence and passion by the current owners, and it is still a private home, lived in by the original family, who have opened one of the two wings surrounding the italianate garden to those who wish to experience the refined splendour of this house. In the 1700s the facade was transformed to the current one with the additions of a large loggia at the side. In the grounds (70.000 sq. m.) you will find long avenues of lime trees and hornbeams where you can walk in perfect tranquillity, and guests also have the use of a private garden with a swimming-pool (6x9 m.), well-furnished, with a gazebo, barbecue, tables, chairs and sun-beds, and besides this in the dressing-room are swimming towels (changed twice a week) along with more chairs and a fridge. The following are also available: football field, 3 mountain bikes and a convenient parking area next to the entrance to the apartment. The furnishings inside consist of antique furniture and high-quality accessories, and the apartment is equipped with air-conditioning and washing-machine. Barchessa is in a very good position for visiting the well-known cities in Veneto: Venice is 39 kms away, Treviso 25, Padua 28. The owners are very discreet, and are available for any information you might need.

GROUND FLOOR: from the portico of Barchessa a large marble staircase leads to the first floor. FIRST FLOOR: 1 double bedroom with bathroom with bath-tub and shower, small private living-room with writing-desk; dining-room; kitchen with dishwasher and oven; large living-room with a big, comfortable sofa, matched by 4 armchairs, 2 smaller armchairs and a chaise-longue. Also available are a table-bar with a large selection of liqueurs, satellite-TV, stereo with CD-player and DVD player. SECOND FLOOR: 1 double bedroom with dressing-room and bathroom with bathtub and shower; 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom which share a bathroom with bath-tub and shower, which you reach from a small living-room with satellite-TV, CD player and a sofa. Air-conditioning and independant central heating.
Other services included in the price: Cleaning during the week 3 hours, 2 times per week for a total of 6 hours per week.
Paid on site in cash: Portable Car Navigator, Baby Sitting, Telephone, Internet Access, Lunch/Dinner.
Bed and bath linen: 2 sets of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
