Il Mugellino is an old hayloft restored with the help of a well-known italian architect. It is one of a larger set of buildings (where the two proprietors live), all of which have preserved the typical structural features that make old farmhouses in Tuscany unique. Il Mugellino is surrounded on all sides by the green hills of Mugello, an area where the environment is carefully protected, and is located not far from the house where the painter Giotto was born. During the restoration work they made sure that only natural materials were used; and precious woods such as elm and handmade terracotta tiles were used to lay the floors and natural marbles such as travertine were chosen for the bathrooms. The furniture is a clever and pleasant mix of old tuscan and modern italian styles. The garden, which is for the exclusive use of our guests, was created with plants and vegetation typical of the Mugello hills and it hosts a swimming pool with an attractive water fountain, also for the exclusive use of the guests staying at Il Mugellino. The interiors are provided with high-tech appliances and all necessary facilities: 4 television sets with satellite connection, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, microwave oven and traditional oven, burglar alarm system, safe, air conditioning in two of the bedrooms, antique fireplace. Besides the swimming pool and the garden, which is cared for daily by qualified staff, our guests can enjoy a covered barbecue area with a table seating 6; there is also private parking for a maximum of 3 cars. Il Mugellino is just 4 kms away from the train station where trains take you to the center of Florence in only 30 minutes; there is a golf course 10 kms away, and Lake Bilancino with surfing and sailing facilities is at a distance of 14 kms. The closest riding-stables are only 5 kms away. From Il Mugellino our guests can easily reach modern shopping centers and other services, which are only a few minutes` drive away. Vicchio, with its railway station, is 4 kms away, Florence 35 kms, Bologna 85 kms, Pisa 100 kms.

GROUND FLOOR: Entrance into the living-room with fireplace, dining-room, well-equipped kitchen. 1 double bedroom with safe-deposit box, 1 bathroom with shower, laundry room with washing-machine, dryer and ironing facilities. All of these rooms (except the bathroom) have direct access to the garden. FIRST FLOOR: balcony with a sofa for 3 and a television. 1 twin bedroom with air-conditioning and a bathroom with shower. 1 double bedroom with en-suite dressing room and bathroom with large shower, air-conditioning.
Bed and bath linen: One set of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
Cots for babies under 2 yrs: Cot with bars available: free of charge.
