The `lemon riviera` starts at Acrieale and continues until Taormina, and is a long stretch of coast dotted with numerous attractive villages looking onto the sea, and is so called due to the lemon plantations that slope down from Mount Etna to the coast. Villa Praiola lies in the village of Carruba about 8 kms from Riposto, an attractive town where you will find all the services you might need and a little tourist harbour. It has been recently renovated although outside the old country house style has been maintained, and while on the ground floor you can still see the old wine-cellars and farm tools, the interior has been completely modernised to give a pratical and comfortable environment. It is equipped with satellite TV, broadband internet connection, dishwasher, washing-machine, microwave oven and air-conditioning. From the large terrace with access from the living-room and from the ktichen you can enjoy the beautiful panorama of the sea and of Etna; in the private garden they have made a 6x12 m swimming-pool for guests exclusive use. The wardens live in an apartment with independent access and they are very discreet and helpful if you need anything. There are several restaurants in the vicinity producing excellent local dishes. Catania lies about 25 kms away, Taormina 30, Acireale 15. The nearest beach is about 1 km away (pebble beach).
Accommodation (150 sq meters):
FIRST FLOOR: (access via an external staircase): living-room with dining area and kitchen with dishwasher with access to the large panoramic terrace, with a view of the sea on one side and of Etna on the other, furnished for dining outside and sunbathing; 1 WC with washbasin; 3 double bedrooms with bathroom with shower and ceiling-fans; mansard (access via spiral staircase) with two single beds and bathroom with shower. Air Conditioning. Parking and private garden.
Paid on site in cash: Obligatory cleaning during the week: 2 hours a day, 1 days per week for a total of 20 EUROS per week. For stays exceeding 7 days obligatory cleaning service on Saturdays for Euro 130 (for each Saturday) to be paid on site.
Bed and bath linen: One set of bed and bath linen per week included in the price.
Cots for babies under 2 yrs: Cot with bars available: free of charge.
