Casetta di Ulisse lies inside a splendid estate in the hills of Maremma, just 4 kms from the beaches of the nature reserve `Parco dell`Uccellina` and 5 kms from the gulf of Talamone.
The farm estate that includes the villa where the owners live and Casetta di Ulisse - which is completely independent and has its own access - surrounds the house with an extensive olive grove throughout the estate - about 7,000 trees - and which produces a biological olive oil of excellent quality,
Inside the garden there is a swimming-pool for guests, shared with the owners. The house lies inside a mediterranean garden, and from here on a clear day you can see the sea at Monte Argentario. It is furnished with very good quality tuscan furniture and has everything you might need for a relaxing holiday.
You enter the `Parco dell`Uccellina` nature reserve from the nearby village of Alberese and there in the reserve, accompanied by park guides, you are in close contact with nature, with wild horses and buffaloes roaming in the huge pine forests. Even the beaches are kept in a wild state and the sea is unpolluted. Just 5 kilometres further south is the gulf of Talamone, which is a little more touristy, but still a wonderful visit. The Maremma is one of the most interesting areas in Tuscany, and has not yet been discovered by mass tourism.
