This fascinating castle used to have traffic-control functions as well as an important defensive role, as it overlooked the ancient Via Cassia (the road connecting Rome to Florence). Nowadays it is a wonderful property comprising a large farming estate and offering 4 charming and comfortable apartments, 3 of which are in the castle while another one is below the tower of the ancient fortress. All of the 4 apartments have been recently restored and tastefully furnished. This property also provides a nice shared swimming-pool set below the castle walls as well as spacious outdoor areas which are an ideal setting for weddings and special events.
