Piccola Varenna is a nicely furnished and comfortable apartment with
terrace located in a house just above the charming town of Varenna on
Lake Como. Above the apartment, with separate entrance is
Rossa
Varenna, an accommodation for 8-10 guests with its own terrace,
pool and access to the garden. The pool and garden of Rossa
Varenna are only available to the guests of Piccola Varenna when the
two accommodations are rented together.
The apartment (80 sqm) has a private terrace with a lake view. Piccola
Varenna is a simple, recently restored accommodation.
From the ground floor, the terrace (furnished with table and chairs)
provides access to the small living room (with a sofa and an armchair).
The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, stove (4
burners) and washing machine. There is a master bedroom and a
bathroom with tub. From the bathroom an additional upstairs
double /twin bedroom room is available.
The two accommodations can be connected through the twin bedroom
upstairs.

Varenna through one of the double bedrooms and the two rentals together can
accommodate up to 14 people. This property can also be rented in combination

Two hours of maid service each Tuesday,
Thursday and Saturday are included. A cell phone is available upon request. Tennis courts can be reserved for 15 Euros per hour in
the daytime and 20 Euros per hour in the evening. Services
available only upon request and charged separately include cook
services, cooking lesson, advance grocery shopping, baby sitting, extra
maid services and restaurant reservations.
Extra bath towels and bed linens are available--cost provided on arrival.
WiFi Internet is available only in the area of
the recreation room on the estate, and not in the house.
Varenna is a beautiful lakeshore town on Lake Como. Built on a rocky
promontory it was a sentinel for centuries at the heart of the lake.
Varenna today is a quietly refined town with charming old houses and
romantic panoramas. The climate is particularly mild, as witnessed by
the presence of olive and cypress trees, as well as other botanical
specimens normally found in much warmer climates. Along the lakefront
is a romantic walkway, abounding in flush vegetation, linking the town
center and Olivedo, the landing point for ferries and steamers. Varenna
is the ideal starting point for a visit to the north and central
regions of Italy and the southern Swiss Alps. It is less than two hours
from Milano Malpensa airport and one hour from the Milano Linate
airport. Places to visit: The Castle of Vezio (only a five minute walk
from the villa). The gardens of Villa Monastera, a neo-classical garden
offering a long walk along the lakeshore. Bellagio and Menaggio are 15
minutes away by ferry. Como with its ancient monuments, excellent shops
and churches are near the villa, as are Tremezzo and the famous Villa
Carlotta.
Pets are permitted at Piccola Varenna
(small size only), upon request of the the owner and only if rented in combination with Rossa Varenna.
Pets must be on leash in the garden area.
